Things that must go...

I enjoy running races, but there are a couple of things that always drive me nuts when running a race. I ran a race this morning and had a wonderful time but I have to share a couple of things I could do without.

1. Pajama pants. Please don't run in pajama pants. You are not doing anybody, especially yourself, a favor. And really you look ridiculous in those red and green plaid pants. I'm not saying you have to go out and buy expensive running clothes, even sweat pants from target would be better than pajama pants.

2. Tell me if I'm wrong or if you disagree (but do so politely), I don't like it when people wear the t-shirt they get from running the race on race day. I know a lot of runners do it, but to me you have to complete the race before you can wear the shirt proudly!

I know these are silly things and maybe I'm being a bit too picky but these things must go!

You are hilarious! I totally get confused with what to wear while I'm running...Eric buys me these cute little nike outfits that totally coordinate but I feel like i have to be a professional to wear them. Then I have old soccer shorts that are about to fall apart and old T-shirts and i might fall into that same category with the flannel pj's man...either way I definitely don't look cool. PS, I'm SO EXCITED to see you!!!!!!

oh lar i agree, the only place pj's should be seen is in bed. and the t-shirts, yeah i don't think you should wear it in the race, unless you took the bus and had no where to put it?
i have another one to add. that last race i ran, the 5K some chick had a regular underwire bra on with only a skimpy little wife beater tank over it. trashy and hello what is she thinking? is she trying to pick up on guys, & look sexy or something? and then there was another girl who didn't pull her hair up, she had it all done like she had showered and gotten ready for the day and didn't want to mess it up. your running and getting sweaty, no one cares what you look like. that must go as well!

Amen on the t-shirt/ race thing! Something that I think is equally as annoying- when people go to a concert and where a shirt that has that band's name or logo on it- lame! PS- you never told me that thing about my dad at Korto's wedding! That is so classic Brad. He is so sweet but his life experiences are surrounded by creating awkward moments. Oh the stories I could tell! PPS- wanna run the 24 of July 10k and half marathon in Moab in October? Can't wait to see you!!

Okay, my biggest pet peeve about races...when you are running and trying your hardest to even finish a race and a guy dressed up head-to-toe in a turtle costume passes you just as you are about to cross the finish line!

How about wearing your 30-year-old daughter's sweatshirt from high school? OK or not?
Really, the only thing that matters is: Were you wearing a smile when you crossed the finish line?
PS Nice job on the 10-miler!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I could not agree with you more about wearing the shirt that you got for the race during that race. You haven't finished it yet, don't wear it yet! :) Another pet peeve of mine....arm and leg sleeves (like Iverson and Kobe Bryant?), do they really do anything??? Call me, we need to go running - Wasatch Back is coming so soon!

I agree. For the record I don't wear pajama pants out of the house. Just in case anyone ever heard anything to the contrary.
