So, we're going to Utah
Match day was one of the most nerve racking days Mike and I have experienced. The day started off with breakfast and nervous conversation among friends.
Mike hanging out with his good friends from school.
Rich and Yanna with Mike and I. These are some of the coolest people we've met!
We were stuck in the cafeteria until 11:00am. Everyone was buzzing with excitement and nerves. The minutes were crawling by until we were able to find out. At 5 minutes to 11:00 everyone was herded like cows into the school foyer. Four school administrators stood in each corner of the foyer holding a handful of envelopes which contained the Match results. At 11:00am the administrators started calling out names and you were to go pick up your envelope.
We are so happy to be going to Utah. We have loved our experience in Chicago and know that we were supposed to be here for the past 4 years(3years for me). We will miss the friends we've made at school and work, working in the temple, going downtown, how green everything gets in the fall and spring and our townhouse. But we know Salt Lake City is where we are supposed to begin the next chapter of our lives beginning June 16th!

Both of our hearts were pounding as we waited to receive the letter with the results. Once Mike's name was called he grabbed the envelope, tore it open, and read the results. We were thrilled to read Mike matched at the University of Utah Internal Medicine program.

Go Green
Chicago takes the phrase GO GREEN literally. St. Patrick's Day is a huge deal here in Chicago. With this possibly being our last year here we had to take advantage of the festivities! First was the annual dyeing of the Chicago river.
We were among thousands of people waiting for the dyeing process to take place! Can you see all the people lined up on the bridge and on the stairs? I've never seen so many people at one place at one time, who knew dyeing a river could be so exciting?
Before shot. The river actually had a nasty green hue to it naturally. I wasn't sure what the finished product would produce. (ps check out across the river, can you see all the people lined watching?)

TA DA!
Then it was off to the St. Patrick's Day parade. This was Mike's first experience going to a parade! Here are just a few pictures of this joyous event.
Love the kilts.

Reasons to be happy
Today is a good day and this is why:
1. American Idol is on.
2. I wore shorts to go running, which means it's above 40 degrees and the sun was shining!
3. Match Day is now in the 10 day forecast on weather.com.

Roller Skating
The PE teacher where I work did a roller skating unit with all of the kids. The kids had their own pair of skates and during PE time skated around the gym. The teachers got talking one day about how fun it would be to go roller skating through the school, so we made it happen. A couple of Saturdays ago we met up at school and went roller skating through the halls and in the gym. Other teachers brought their families, we ordered pizza, had music playing, what can I say it was like the good old days at Classic. Mike and I had such a good time. I wasn't so hot at skating (I can roller blade, but not roller skate) Mike was a pro. I work with the coolest people. I'm really going to miss all of them if we move!
