Right now is my off track time and I'm loving it.
I've been spending a lot of time with this little one....
I was able to go to my cute cousin's State Cross Country Meet...
My cousin Liesl rocked the race and got her best time of the season!
I had plenty of time to make this dracula dessert...
and get costumes for our fantastic Halloween party last Saturday.
Mike and I have been spending quality time together, which included carving pumpkins...
And I got to go out to lunch with my cute friend Lacey...
I've loved having time off. I think this is something I could get used to indefinitely.

not working is great, although you have really done a lot of work on different things every day you have had off! but i am glad that you can spend so much time with Grace, she loves you and esp. Mike. also kinda mad i never got a dracula, maybe you can make one for me - it is still halloween time. thank you.

Your dracula cupcakes go well with my frankenstein pudding cups! I know that I would love to have a 9/3 week school calendar. Can you imagine going to Disneyland right now? It would be so awesome! I don't need all the summer time in a row, I prefer smaller breaks to get some R&R and start again.

I didn't know you were on a year-round schedule. We have three schools in our district that are on what we call a continuous learning calendar. I like the idea of it...especially right around now when I feel so overwhelmed with everything and am about ready to pull my hair out. My only thing would be that I would want my kids' schedule to match my own schedule. This year Chad and I have different spring breaks! We have one week in between our spring breaks. :( I completely agree with Kathy that it would be cool to go on vacation in October, which never happens for us.
Girlfriend- those are the greatest costumes! You look like Peg on Married with Children. Time off is great isn't it?! I will not be sad even one bit the day Mike tells me I don't have work anymore. And yes, I would to love see you- Prego-ness has turned me into a hermit! I will give you a call this week!

Oh my gosh...Mike looks like Dave looks every day of the year, minus the long dark hair. However, Dave would be wearing the "Buffalo Shirt". Cute pumpkins...I am happy you took a picture with them lit up. Please share the recipe for the dracula dessert.
I am so jealous of that schedule! And look how busy you are! Those pumkins and cookies look great. I could use a little time off to perfect my baking skills!
