Mike is on a rotation where A FEW DAYS during the week he works a lovely 30 hour shift. So he starts work at 7:00 a.m. and works until 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. the FOLLOWING day. So on the days where Charlotte and I aren't going to see Mike, I try to stay extra busy. Today was one of those days and although we missed seeing Mike, we had a good day.
The SMOG is gone and the sun was shining for a bit.
So Charlotte and I bundled up and headed for walk in the park. It was oh so wonderful to be outside and exercising. Charlotte loved it too, she slept the entire time.
We both took much needed naps today. Charlotte is having her "fussy time" from 11:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. Good times. Like I said, naps were needed today.
We changed many diapers. Man this girl poops like it's nobody's business. I couldn't be happier about that. It means she eating well and getting plenty of nourishment. Phew.
I even got a little sewing in. I made some flower accessories for her headbands,
and a burp cloth. It's not my best work, but I did it in 20 minutes. Time between Charlotte's feeding and napping is precious these days.
And now I'm ready for bed! Goodnight.
Side note. This is what happens when Mike is home and hanging out with Charlotte.
I think Charlotte and I had the same expression, as the picture above, when I walked in to see what Mike had done. I must admit my little darling looks cute even in a shower cap. And yes, if you are wondering if I rock the shower cap, YOU BET I DO!
One more picture...
How funny is this picture? It totally looks like Charlotte is picking her nose. She's not. I promise. Mike just snapped the picture at exactly the right moment.

I am so glad you were able to go out. That makes a world of difference. Those pictures are adorable, especially the shower cap ones! I laughed right out loud! Thanks for the Charlotte fix :)
I just want to hold and squeeze that little baby. She is adorable. Mike is hilarious!
I can't believe it, she is already looking bigger! They change so fast! So glad you got to leave the house - having a baby in the winter is hard cuz you feel trapped indoors...I bet it felt amazing to get out!
She is so beautiful! Enjoy every minute--before you know it she will be 12!
Those pictures gave me a much needed chuckle. I have so many similar photos of Maddy in her first few months. I am glad you are getting out for walks, winter drives me a bit batty.
I LOVE that picture of Charlotte in the stroller, are you kidding me with that cuteness... and the shower cap, love it. Totally something Nick would do.
She is already getting so big and I am so impressed that you are sewing in your free time, like really really impressed. Best. Mom. Ever.

Come to zoo with us soon! It's so so fun to walk around there! I'll call ya...
That is awesome!!!!! Just this morning I was thinking about when Jordan was first born and I used to go for walks with him around our neighborhood. There were a few weeks when I was home alone with Jordan until school let out for Chad and we would leave when Chad left for work and go for walks. It was so nice and relaxing. It's awesome to be home during the day when people are at work and things are quiet. Enjoy it! It's such a great time.
What adorable pictures! Love them. We have that same bouncer thing she's in and Jordan loved it. He used to kick and make it bounce. It was so cute. It's making me even more excited for this new baby to come!!!!
Love that last picture.. Im glad you were able to get some fresh air instead of nasty fog. well let me know when you are available next week!
her facial expressions are hilarious, Laura. and i'm glad you guys are so timely with the camera. Kudos!
i have to say, henry was a big, big pooper too- and i mean, both in size:) and frequency. better to go through millions of diapers than to have a clogged up, miserable babus.
and i like the shower cap she's sportin'. what a gal.
