Another birthday has come and gone for my Mikey.
He is now a dashing, handsome 33 year old.

We had a nice day celebrating with our little family.
I took one for the team and did not go running Saturday morning so Mike could sleep in. I took care of Charlotte and Mike slept until his heart was content, only until about 8:30. Remember the days of being able to sleep in until 10? 11? Neither of us can do it anymore, really, we just wake up earlier. Sigh. Anyway we ate delicious donuts, pounded chocolate work and then out of Mike's choosing we worked out in the yard for a bit. Yes my dear, hard working hubby choose to do yard work on his birthday celebration day. After working in the yard I surprised Mike with some birthday activities. We put on our swimsuits and drove about 20 minutes north from where we live to one of the amazing parks Cincinnati has to offer. We rented paddle boats and explored a (very) mini lake. So much fun to rent a paddle boat, Charlotte loved it too!

Isn't it gorgeous? I love all the trees so much! The freeway wasn't far from the lake we were on, but you would never have any idea. All the trees make you feel like you are far away from it all!

After paddling for an hour we were wiped out and DONE. (Mostly me, pregnant girl gets tired easy!)
The lake had a paved trail surrounding it so we walked on it a bit and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
One of Charlotte's favorite things to do is ride on anybody's shoulders. Mike is a good sport to let her do it so often. This is by far one of my new favorite pictures of my babies. They both look so happy.
Skipping and having the time of their lives.
The park naturally had a playground there too, so we of course let Charlotte play for a bit before heading home. Such a looker, even with a flat squished nose.

We headed home and all crashed for naps that afternoon. Perfect birthday present for Mike. Thank you Charlotte for still napping!

That evening we went out to eat and tried to hit up downtown Cincinnati for a Red's game.

Although the game was slightly a bust, due to my super awesome, pregnancy brain and planning, we still had a good time and got to catch the game for a bit.

All in all a good day, packed with fun, new activities. Most importantly Mike was pleased with the day, and enjoyed himself!

Happy birthday my love! So glad you are mine!

Laura! It looks like you guys are having a great time and making the most of your new surroundings. We're so close, but so far away right now up in Chicago. If we ever end up close by I would love to see this beautiful place you're living.
