The PE teacher where I work did a roller skating unit with all of the kids. The kids had their own pair of skates and during PE time skated around the gym. The teachers got talking one day about how fun it would be to go roller skating through the school, so we made it happen. A couple of Saturdays ago we met up at school and went roller skating through the halls and in the gym. Other teachers brought their families, we ordered pizza, had music playing, what can I say it was like the good old days at Classic. Mike and I had such a good time. I wasn't so hot at skating (I can roller blade, but not roller skate) Mike was a pro. I work with the coolest people. I'm really going to miss all of them if we move!

I've been waiting for this post! I love it! I just told T about this last night...he was a bit jealous. He loves to roller skate.
What a fun idea! The orange and brown skates are hot.
JEALOUS!! That looks like so much fun! That was always my dream when I was younger...Rex and I were trying to break into Highland Park so we could ride our bikes really fast down all the halls. Maybe Mike should take up roller hockey...he would be so good!
i thought this was a great idea. so i roller skated through the halls of slcc today. i ended up get mocked and fell a lot. not so hot i guess.
Laura, you are such a great example for Danielle. She looks at your personal accomplishments and the great husband you snagged, and it really helps her in her goal setting. Thanks for sharing your ups and downs and impressing the mind of a 16 year old girl. You are the best!
oh fun times! you know i think roller skating is really hard, of course i don't go very often but when we did russ was really good. he is good at everything though.
What a cute picture!!! I love it. It was a good time. If only the kids knew what their teachers were up to after school hours. You and Mike are so cute.
It kind of makes you wonder, how old are those skates really? How can anyone possibly still manufacture those skates today. I don't even want to know how many people have worn those babies. :)
I love roller skating. If there were a rink close by, I'd totally go and take Andrew.
How fun!! Have you ever seen the rollerskating movie XANADU with Olivia Newton John. It is one of my childhood favorites. I think you would like it!!
That would be so stinkin' fun! Dilworth would be a blast to skate in because it has huge ramp to the top level. What a great idea! Hope you guys are doing well! Miss ya!
