Rich and Yanna with Mike and I. These are some of the coolest people we've met!We were stuck in the cafeteria until 11:00am. Everyone was buzzing with excitement and nerves. The minutes were crawling by until we were able to find out. At 5 minutes to 11:00 everyone was herded like cows into the school foyer. Four school administrators stood in each corner of the foyer holding a handful of envelopes which contained the Match results. At 11:00am the administrators started calling out names and you were to go pick up your envelope.
Both of our hearts were pounding as we waited to receive the letter with the results. Once Mike's name was called he grabbed the envelope, tore it open, and read the results. We were thrilled to read Mike matched at the University of Utah Internal Medicine program.
We are so happy to be going to Utah. We have loved our experience in Chicago and know that we were supposed to be here for the past 4 years(3years for me). We will miss the friends we've made at school and work, working in the temple, going downtown, how green everything gets in the fall and spring and our townhouse. But we know Salt Lake City is where we are supposed to begin the next chapter of our lives beginning June 16th!

yea, we can't wait for you to get home! dang, i sorta wish we could have been there for the opening of the envelope, that would have been so exciting!!

Yeah!! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! I'll be honest though, I was hoping that we could join you for the dyeing of the Chicago River next St. Patrick's. Oh well!
Apparently my awesome joke was lost in translation. I was implying that we left Chicago in the first place to get away from you (mostly Mike) and now that you are coming back to Utah we will have to move again! Ok, lame joke. So we are not moving. I'm (Mike) just not funny.

ummm i just read that little thing about you guys moving back. and looking at the picture....i'm becoming a softy!!! i got teary eyed. who am i? i'll tell you who i'm a matthews and we cry at the drop of a dime!
What a nerve racking day!1 I had no idea it was sooooo intense. Utah will be perfect for you guys, although I am sad San Diego will be saved for vacations...... So happy to hear the news. Miss you guys.
can't believe you guys have been there for 3 years...crazy! Yeah! Moving back to utah (imagine doing a side herky)
