End of racing season

I feel like I need to preface this post with an apology...another running post.   Let's be honest my life just isn't exciting.  This will be the last running post for awhile since it's the end of racing season for me.  I don't have another race scheduled until November, so I decided to go big and enjoy a few last minute races the past three weekends.
First: Swiss Days 10k with my friend Lauren, her sister and sister in law.  The race took place in Midway, Utah which absolutely beautiful. The weather was cool and the course was a nice mix of hills and flats.  Thanks Lauren for letting me tag along with you guys.

I felt lucky to be running with these speedsters.
They are all Boston Marathon runners and in amazing shape!

SECOND: The next weekend was the Huntsville Half Marathon.  My cousin Annie and I had signed up for the race beginning of August. The week of the race we went back and forth trying to decide whether or not to run this race. We didn't feel prepared and weren't sure we wanted to make the trek up to Huntsville to run. Our competitive side won and we decided the day before the race to just do it!
I'm so glad we ended up running the half marathon. It didn't end up being a PR but we had a great time talking and catching up with one another.  Love my cousin Annie.

THIRD: The following Saturday (yesterday) my friends and I decided to do the Utah Marathon relay. It was fantastic.  As a team we ran a total of 26.2 miles (marathon distance) but only had to run a 1/5 of the distance.  Which meant I got to hang out with my friends all morning long.  My friends never cease to impress. They are busy with kids, school, and work but make time to run.  Unfortunately we were never all together as a team. Here's the crew:
Lauren, Lindsey, me, Megan

Mary, Lauren, me and Lindsey.
We had good times filled with many laughs. It's been so nice have friends to run with.  Thanks girls!

Special shout out to Mike. Thanks for being so supportive and understanding as I've spent the past few weekends getting up early and being gone for a good part of the day.  You're the best.

So....who's up for a half marathon in November???? Let me know....

I love the idea of relay running! How cool is that? I think it is so awesome that you have a lot of running friends. It's too bad that you aren't able to hang out while you aren't running. Do they do these things in Chicago or what? I'm gonna have to look around for these...otherwise I'm coming to Utah to run with you! I miss my running friend...*tear*.
