We got a little taste of summer this weekend. I wish it would be here to stay but don't worry in true, finicky, Utah fashion it supposed to be cold and rainy again by the weekend.
We took full advantage of this fine weather by doing the typical "summer" activities.
Mike finally had a day off and the sweet boy that he is, spent most of his day off working in the yard. He worked so hard while Charlotte and I enjoyed watching. Mike did a great job and our yard looks fantastic thanks to him.
My wonderful in laws, whom I love dearly, came by to join in the yard work fun. Steve and Carol even treated us to popsicles from the ice cream man; there's nothing that says it's summer than the ice cream man driving down your street.
We finished off the evening in true summer style by having a BBQ with our fabulous friends, the Stringhams.

Love my little bug. (Seeing Charlotte next to me in this picture makes me realize she doesn't look a thing like me!) Katie and her sweet boy Drew. He is just two months younger than Charlotte and is the cutest, most chill baby. We can't wait for Charlotte and Drew to be in love some day.

As you can see in the picture above, Charlotte is already making the moves on Drew.
*The Stringham's darling daughter was also in attendance, I neglected to get a picture of her. Bummer.
Ahhhh summer. I wish you would stay, we are all ready for you to be here!

awe summer. i think it will come, sometime. i love a good creamy. that is a delicious summer treat. or any sort of fresh melon. yum. and i do like yard work, but we rent, so nice. and both my children have Lance's completion, fair skinned, but i think they both actually have more of my features, big eyes, Will's eyes are brown like mine, and I think he looks like Dad. I love Grace's eyes, they are hazel like Lancer's. But seriously, that Charlotte. She looks just like Mike. She is darling, and that photo of you two is so cute Laur, I love it!
looks like so much fun! i love summer, i am sick right now which sucks! why is it that when it finally warms up and is beautiful i am sick and have to stay inside? boo, i am glad you guys got to enjoy the warm summertime weather!
Everyone said that Liv looked exactly like Tyson until she was 3 and now everyone says she is my clone. You and Charlotte both look adorable in that picture.
Yeah for summer!!!! Today was my first official day off...Chad had his one-hour day today and then we stole him to go to Great America! It was too much fun. It was a perfect day for Great America, it was warm but still cool at the same time.
We are loving the water park. We haven't been because we had a super busy weekend but it's on the books for tomorrow! (After grocery shopping.)
I think Jordan looks more like me but my mom has always said he's a mini-Chad. I love his little personality, he's a lot like Chad as far as that goes. He cracks me up with the stuff he says, and he sings goofy songs like Chad. So much fun!
You kill me laura! I love your guts! I am just letting you know that I think you are one of the most enjoyable people I know. Serious! You are a gem!
Fave summer activity.... boating and just seeing the sun.. Love-love-LOVE it!
Ice cream men are creapy, we stay far away... and why does the one around here have some horse sounds? Weird!
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THAT YOUR BABY LOOKS NOTHING LIKE YOU?? I just showed Ginni your picture and she said immediately (and Gen Bentley too) OMGoodness, she has your smile!!!!!! and just your pretty shining face. BEAUTIFUL! I bet when she is older she will lose Mike's cute round face and gain your gorgeous slender face. Just my opinion.... ;)

I LOVE the ice-cream man!!
We finally caught up our yard work, with the help of someone we hired to weed and edge all the beds. We were too overwhelmed to do it ourselves. Once that was done we trimmed shrubs and planted annuals and now it looks great.
I love that smiley bug!!!...oh and I like Charlotte too, hahaha :)
