We had a fabulous time while we were there. We got to hang out with the Dwyers. It was great to see Lindsay and get to know JD a little bit better. JD made the BEST steak I have ever eaten in my life. No joke. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
We also got to see one of my dearest friends from college Kati and her husband Billy. They also treated us to an excellent homemade meal for us. It was good to catch up with Kati and Billy.
Thanks to both friends for making us feel so at home and treating us so well!
We also went to the Arizona Temple. It's one of the older temples and very unique. While visiting the temple grounds we picked grapefruits with some sister missionaries. I loved that Arizona had orange, lemon and grapefruit trees everywhere ready to be picked!

What a fun weekend! If you end up in AZ, you'll stay inside all summer instead of all winter like in Chicago! Nice matching outfits in front of the Temple :) Did Mike copy you?
Totally cute pictures. I bet it was so nice to escape the cold for awhile and relax in the sun. If you end up in Tucson I'll have Amy give you the run down on the city :-)
So glad to see you've finally surfaced. What trips do you have coming up?
PS Everybod: To answer Stephanie's question, Yes Mike did copy me. Somehow we always end up wearing the same colors in our outfits. How cute are we? JUST KIDDING!
In my defense, usually I have already chosen and put on my clothes prior to realizing that we are dressed similarly. It does seem to happen quite frequently. Or, deep down inside I really want to and am actively trying to be that couple. I will let you decide.
We had so much fun with you guys and can't wait to do it more often when you move to arizona :)
Wow. It REALLY is a desert there. You look great! Glad to hear you are feeling better...that first trimester is so hard.
Uh just to clarify my sister Amanda's comment: I may look pregnant in the AZ pics due to the choice of attire. But trust me but I'M NOT pregnant!!! Mandy's just being real funny! NOT
I just had to tease you. You look very cute and I know that you are NOT prego. I do love your hair though!!
Love your pictures! Love your hair! FYI, Kentla and I often wear matching outfits, too! (I'm thinking of buying a long-sleeved gray t-shirt--lol.)
laura, to reply to your comment, you didn't offend us at all, russ wrote those posts, i was just as nervous as you were, i am sure you could tell on the video! and to comment on your post it looks like you had fun and enjoyed the weather, and i am glad you aren't pregnant, although it is so fun, what you are doing now with mike is special!
i wanted to say something about your pregnant shirts too, so i am glad that amanda did, although as i was reading hr comment, i got really mad that you didn't tell me, and come to find out, there is nothing to tell. ok, and i had to laugh at what mom said too, she is going to buy a long sleeved gray t-shirt, i am peeing. ok, i love you and want you to be my neighbor!
Looks like a DREAM compared to Cleveland weather! Who knows, maybe we will both end up in sunny Arizona!
so fun you got to take a trip and that you got to see kati! i am excited to hear where you guys will end up!!! keep us updated. ps..those comments are pretty funny
Oh that looks so fun! That would be so nice to live in Arizona for a couple months- keep us updated! Oh and thanks for the encouragement with Tommys busy school schedule! I'm sure you are in the same boat and don't get to see much of your hubby either. It will all pay off some day- and they are great hubbies for all their hard work!
Wow, I just read Amanda's comment and I was freaking out. I have been out of town for a week and I thought for sure I missed out on some BIG news.
Hey Laura! Jason is nearing the end of his first year of residency in internal medicine...so your hubby would definitely be working with him next year! You should definitely come here! Tucson, in my opinion, is a better place to live than Phoenix! It's got the pretty mountains to hike in, and it's a little bit cooler than Phoenix in the summers - and the desert does grow on you! Compared to a Chicago humid summer, these Arizona summers are a cinch. Seriously. You'd be amazed! I'll have to check back after match day to see where your destiny will take you guys! :-)
