Preface: This in one of those braggy blogging posts.
Today marks the last day of Mike's first year of residency. He will no longer be considered an intern but a full on resident! (First year of residency is called intern year, even though it is part of their residency. ) I can't believe his first year is already over. It's hard to believe he only has two years left. He has worked so hard this year and has excelled in every area. Here are just a couple of reviews Mike has received from physicians he has worked with this year:
Dr. Walker was one of the best interns I have worked with this year. He is very thorough, applies evidence-based medicine, and spends extra time with his patients. He was very enthusiastic to be on wards, despite this was a pull week for him and he was trying to study for boards. He is an excellent resident.
Dr. Walker is in the top percent of his class.
Love you Mikey! You've done an incredible job balancing the crazy schedule of a resident while being a wonderful, husband, gardener, soccer player, golfer, brother, brother-in law, son and faithful church member.
Bring on the next two years!

I can't believe you guys are almost done. You're at the "we can see the light at the end of the tunnel" place. You might need to apologize for braggy posts to friends, but not to us. You can brag to family. We're proud of you Mike and you too Laura for not being a whiney Drs. wife... I've known a few- haha.

Yippee!!! That is very exciting. I can't believe how fast time flies- great work Mike! Oh and good work to you too- I know that the wives sacrifice a lot too when their hubbies are in school:)
I can't believe how close you guys are to being done! I am glad you posted this post, it is nice for all of us to hear how wonderful Mike is!

Woo hoo!!!!! It's not bragging if you aren't talking about yourself! You're just proud of your man! Congrats to him! I can't believe it's already been a whole year for him. How exciting! It seems like it's gone quickly...although it was a lot of work. Not too much longer!
