Last week was Mike's birthday. Side note: One more year until the big 30! I decided to go big for Mike this year. Since he's working so hard in residency, I wanted to get him something that could take his mind off work, something fun and relaxing. Well, what could be more entertaining, fun and relaxing than... ROCKBAND? Yep, I did it, I bought Mike Rockband for his birthday. He was like a kid in the candy store; in other words he was very excited.
We had Mike's family over for a Rockband party. It was such a good time.

We discovered a few things that night....
1. Mike looks like a real rock star when playing the guitar. If the the doctor thing doesn't work out he can easily be in a virtual band.

2. Rockband is fun and entertaining but not so much relaxing. There was some intense playing going on.
3.Stephanie can dance and play the guitar at the same time; she's got mad skills.

4. We also discovered Brad is quite a good singer.
5. Troy should stick to singing rather than playing the drums. Sorry, Troy it's true.
6. Rockband is fun and great for all ages.
7. Even the Today Show has caught on to ROCKBAND.
So if you're ready to rock and want to have a good time call us. We are now offically rock stars.

wow you are seriously a good wife, russ would kiss the ground i walk on if i got him that. unfortunately i don't make my own money at the moment, so it wouldn't really be like me buying it for him. we will have to come over and play. russ is pretty good at everything, especially the guitar and drums.

Happy B-day Mike!! Sorry Laura, but I can't see the rocker in him....he definately looks like a doc. Nate says that the rockers on Guitar Hero look like pirates and like they have bad breath, that is definately NOT Mike!! We're hopin' Santa drops Rock Band down our chimney this year!
Okay, I think we are going to have to try this Rock Band thing! We have friends who play all the time. We have done Guitar Hero before and thought it was really fun. Seriously, though, I truly realize how different my life is now that I have a child. Chad and I would totally do stuff like this all the time before we had Jordan. Not that we aren't "cool like that" any more...we just spend all day chasing him around and playing with him!!! Chad's birthday is coming up...maybe that would be a fun present! I'm bummed you are all the way out there and we can't play with you! Rock on!
We love rock band! Tyson and I play it on weekend night after the girls go to bed all the time. No you know what losers we are.
