Getting Old

Remember those really awkward pictures you took before going to high school dances?

Yeah, Mike and I took one of those in honor of my TEN YEAR HIGH SCHOOL REUNION Saturday night.

Sadly not many people were there. And I will tell you those who didn't go seriously missed out. BOTH MIKE and I had so much fun. Yes, you read that correctly even Mike had a great time at my high school reunion, he's such a champ to go with me and have a fabulous time. People say they see everyone they want to see already so why go to the reunion? I can understand their point, however it was so fun to catch up with those people who I don't see or haven't seen in ten years, as well as those people who I do get to see often. It was totally normal to talk to everyone; it didn't feel as if it had been ten years, I picked up right where I left off with everyone who was there. I felt as if all the clicks that had been around in high school no longer existed. Everyone was friendly and outgoing. It was a blast. The only downfall was of course not taking as many pictures as I wish I would have.
The Millers and The Walkers
I'm so excited the Milers will be living in the SLC.
My hot friends. Still looking good ten years after HS.

The price of the reunion in some opinions was expensive but I think it was worth every penny. Mike and I got to dress up, go out without Charlotte, have a delicious dinner, and catch up with great friends. Overall cost of the evening...PRICELESS. You fools who didn't go, missed out, and you better start saving NOW so you will be at the 20 year reunion.

PS I don't really feel like I'm getting that old. I still feel really young, but when I told a couple, younger than me, who I go to church with that I was going to my ten year reunion that night, they both looked at me with big open mouths totally shocked I was "that old". Ha ha ha.

One more thing....thanks Carol for watching Charlotte so we could go. You're the best!

Have you gone to any of your HS reunions?
What stopped you if you didn't?
Have you gotten dressed up for any fun event lately?
Where were you ten years ago?
Please share.

it was such a blast. I didn't even get to talk to you as much as a would have wanted to, but i get to see you more often so i guess it's ok. I agree people really did miss out that chose not to go.

Go rams!

Long time reader- never commented..

No high school reunions for me! My ten year was last weekend- out of state. Part of the reason I didn't go had to do with my graduation... I was part of the class of 2000, but I graduated early ('99- but nobody from '99 knew who I was), so I was not notified of the event in time- for either year. I noticed my name and photo were missing from the year book and missing classmates list too.

The last event I dressed up for was a wedding in San Francisco!

Know what?? It WAS a lot of fun. I do feel pity/sorry for those who opted out of the experience. And to think how much MORE fun it would've been had there been more peeps. Too bad.

You looked fantastic! Loved the outfit on ya.

Fun! Chad's was last year and mine was the year before (yes, I'm older, and I hear it all the time that I'm 30 and he's only turning 29 on Monday...ugh). We had a fun time, it was a little weird but fun at the same time to see people I just am not in touch with any more. Of course, I see lots of people on FB now since the reunion. It helped that I felt way more in shape than I ever felt in high school so I happily went knowing I looked good and had a great hubby and a cute son to talk about! Chad's was awesome, they had lots of events the whole weekend and it was like just going out with friends...we went to the high school football game on Friday night and then to a barbeque on Saturday and then to a bar on Saturday night. It was fun and I felt like I totally felt in even though it wasn't my high school! I say people should go!
