We headed to St. George over the weekend and it was blissful.
The weather was lovely.
Both Mike and I said, "It feels like SPRING" over and over again.
Although the weather in the SLC hasn't been terrible, it was still nice to go someplace a little bit warmer, relax and not wear a coat and scarf everywhere we went.
We started the weekend off with a half marathon. I had never done this one before. It was a well organized, fairly flat, race. I had in my mind that I wasn't going to worry about my time for this race, I was just going to run it for fun. I too often become obsessed with my time and it was nice to just run for the enjoyment of running. I didn't pay attention to how slow I was going, I just took it easy and it felt great.
The rest of the day was spent playing with Charlotte outside. We've not played outside for a long time. Charlotte loved being able to roam free without a jacket on. We loved walking with her, throwing her in the air, and holding her hand.
And now it's Monday and it's time to get back into reality.
The weekend was over too quickly
We'll be going back again soon for sure.

yay for you guys! i have been dreaming about warmer weather for a long time. I wish i was in shape like you and could run with you, but oh well, someday i will get my butt in gear.

Ahh, I wanna go to St. George sooo bad! This is the perfect time of year for a quick gettaway down there. Looks amazing, and I can't believe how big and ADORABLE Charlotte is. She is always SMILING!! So cute
I dream of warm weather all the time! In fact, I'm beginning to seriously question why we live in Chicago. I would love to be able to go be outside all year round. We are planning to go to Disney World this summer so now I'm really dreaming of summer getting here. The summers are so much fun. Man, I was trying not to let myself think of it so much...but it's hard!
You gotta love Southern Utah. That is why we live here. Charlotte is a miniature of Mike. Call us some time when you are down.

Hey friend- Ahh, love that St George. I miss running/talkig with you! Ok so I have two totally unrelated questions:
1) What do you think of the Bryce Canyon 1/2 Marathon? I am signing up for it.
2)How do you get those headings at the top of your blog?? Is it a new gadget?
Also if you are not doing anything Friday at 3 you should go to your sis Katherine's house because I will be there!
i would give my left arm to go to st george right about now. so glad you got to spend time with your cute family.
