Charlotte update

So I'm still behind on this blog. I have a lot of posts from the summer I need and want to do. But I have a different post in mind today.
My darling friend Sarah inspired me to do a post on Charlotte after I read an update she had done on her spunky, beautiful Ruby. I realized it's been awhile since I've done just a Charlotte post and it's high time this girl had an update.
Charlotte is 20.5 months old and is full of life. I'm loving this age, regardless of the tantrums here and there, she is so much fun. She's like a little sponge soaking up any information given to her. I love it. I can't get enough of her.
Here are some funny things about my bug:
-She thinks her name is you. When we show her pictures of herself Mike and I say, "That's you Charlotte." So when she looks at pictures she'll point to herself and say "Choo" meaning you. We're working on the whole name thing. Choo, is much easier to say than Charlotte.
-Charlotte loves to jump on the bed. The other day she may or may not have ALMOST fallen off the bed because of her jumping episode.
-One my favorite things she says is "thank you" but it comes out more like "dank coo".
-Charlotte has heard me call Mike, Mike so many times she will often refer to him as Mike. She still calls him dada, but will follow dada with Mike.
-Her feet constantly smell and she loves to smell them, gross I know. She'll smell them and say "sninky" (stinky). We all have a good laugh after that.
-Charlotte still loves babies, especially her baby doll. Lately she loves putting her baby in her high chair, with a bib, and pretending to feed it. She also loves putting on my baby bjorn and carrying her baby around in it. She'll make a good older sister one day.
-Horses. This girl loves horses. She neighs all the time. Charlotte constantly asks me to get on my hands and knees so she can hop on my back and I pretend to be a horse. We spend a lot of our days pretending to be horses. And there are horses on the way to Mike's parents house and if we don't pull over to say hello to the horses she freaks out. Tantrum in full effect.
-Because of this love for horses, we taught her how to gallop and she loves galloping around the house. It's so cute if you ask me.
-If Charlotte sees Mike and I hugging she comes up to us grabs our legs and says "HUG!" so we pick her up and she squeezes all of us together and we have a family hug. So endearing.
-She is still very shy. She's getting better around old people but she is still quiet when she gets around those she doesn't know. Her favorite people are her momma, dada, Emily and her papas. She does love her grandmas, but the papas always win.
-Charlotte wants to play get you all the time. She'll come up to me and say "get you" and I have to run around chase her. She laughs and laughs and laughs, so worth it.
-Some of her favorite songs are ABCs, Monkeys on the Bed, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Popcorn Popping, Wheels on the Bus. It can get a little old singing these songs over and over.
-Charlotte's great at throwing tantrums. On the floor, screaming, kicking, she's got it down. And she is still a screamer regardless of how much we've tried working on it.
-She's still an early bird and always has been, although today she did sleep in until 7 am and it was heaven since I didn't have to get up to run. I felt like I slept in! But most days it's about 6:30 when she wakes up. And I remember people telling me once she was down to one nap during the day she would nap all afternoon for like 3 hours. Yeah right, the girl sleeps 1.5 hours, most days on the dot. Once in awhile I'm really lucky and she sleeps 2 hours and rarely 2 hours plus, those days are a real treat for all of us.
-One of Charlotte's favorite activities is looking at books. Makes me so happy. We spend a good part of our days looking at the same books over and over. This activity I never get sick of.

I could go on and on about my lovey. She can be quite a handful but I sure love her. I can't imagine life without her. She makes us laugh everyday and my heart melts when she says love you. I adore the determined, spunky, strong willed, bubbly girl she is becoming. Lucky to be her momma.

LOVED! I know we say this all the time but, man, our little girlies are twins separated at birth. Honest. Charlotte is so dang cute. She is a lot like CJ, too. Horses, having a hard time saying her own name, the Hugs.
Love it. I'll be in SLC in two weeks and will stay for two weeks and WE WILL SEE EACH OTHER MORE THAN ONCE.

Oh she is so darling! I love that she loves jumping on the bed. My mom said that I had a constant goose-egg on my head until I was three because of jumping on (and falling off) the bed or couch. Man, she is getting so big! What a little lady!
